There is no certain information about his origins. Finn Meyan Andersen went to the United States and landed in New York City. Once in a while he could be found sitting in the store window of some pipe shop producing pipes. Being featured as "a famous Danish pipemaker", he told the spectators that he had worked in the W.Ø. Larsen workshop in Copenhagen.
During the second half of the 70's he joined The Briar Workshop, founded by Elliott Nachwalter and Jorg Jemelka in Vermont, for about two years. Afterwards his trace got lost.
