City De Luxe was a subbrand of GBD and Oppenheimer Pipe started in 1921 and for a time the most popular pipe in the 5/6 shilling range of pipes in Britain in the 1930s.
The trademark of the line was an inserted star on the stem, and pipes were made with both English and French markings. For more information see GBD.
Several Catalog pages from a Circa 1950s Oppenheimer Pipes Catalog featured City de Luxe models.
