Albert-John Briars, Ltd. was a Milwaukee, Wisconsin pipe company founded in 1976 by Evan C. Schwemer. At least one line of pipes, named Albert-John, was produced by the company after they apparently stopped doing business in 1987 or soon after, and examples seen meet the Danish freehand style so popular at the time. It appears that this brand was a private line made for Uhle's, in that when the company was originally founded through August 22, 1977, it was named Uhle Tobacco Corporation, distinct from the Uhle Tobacco Company, Inc. which has owned Uhle's since 1981.
