There is no certain information about his origins. Finn Meyan Andersen went to the United States and landed in New York City. There he could be found once in a while sitting in the store window of one of the major pipe shops producing pipes. Being featured as "famous Danish pipemaker", he told the spectators that he had worked in the famous W.Ø. Larsen workshop in Copenhagen before.

It is possible if not likely this is the same person as Finn Andersen, one of the less famous Danish Pipemakers, who made pipes under his own brand, as well as Mr. Andersen pipes.

During the second half of the 70's he joined The Briar Workshop, founded by Elliott Nachwalter and Jorg Jemelka it Vermont, for about two years. In remains a mystery of what became of him afterwards.
