Briarbilt SPECIAL The Briarbilt brand appears to be a store brand for L. Bamberger & CO. They were a turn of the century department store that began in 1893 and were bought by Macy's in 1929. They kept the name until about 1986 where they were all rebranded as Macy's stores.
