There is no greater pleasure than working with your hands, and I love it! Creating a shape out of the moste beautiful wood in the world is only surpassed by the fact that it is a useable article, and it will be loved by its owner forever... I was trained by William Mattner in 1993,1994,1995 and I still learn every day. I loved smoking a pipe, but was not happy with the way other pipes smoked, so I designed my own filter system. This system prevents a wet smoke, and all you get is a good quality smoke without the harmfull stuff. I concentrate on the practical side of pipes, for that is what they are, a smoking instrument. Every pipe I make will smoke better than anything else you ever owned. | |||
Each shape has a name, and each name is in Afrikaans. Why? Well this is the only country in the world where it is spoken, and thus more than just a smoking instrument. Every pipe is hand engraved, except if you prefer it differently. The shapes are a basic guideline, and variations might occur, therefore making each one unique. Colors are up to you as well, and basically the sky is the limit! | Each shape has a name, and each name is in Afrikaans. Why? My latest favorite is purple, and it shows off the grain extremely good. Each pipe carries a one-year guarantee on the bowl, the definition is that it would not crack or burn. | My latest favorite is purple, and it shows off the grain extremely good. Each pipe carries a one-year guarantee on the bowl, the definition is that it would not crack or burn. All my pipes have either two, three or four dots, made of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warthog warthog's] teeth (Ivory) and are my grading system. Four is the best I currently have. I have dedicated my life to serve pipe smokers, and pipes is what I do, it is a full time career.
