Turkish meerschaum brand by Medet Kara created in 2002. Medet was born in 1962, and began working on this art at only 11 years old.
Medet Kara is still active as an artisan today, and highly detailed carving seems to be the rule for his modern work, but his older Gulel pipes have typically been much simpler in design and detail.
