From Pipes, Artisans and Trademarks, by José Manuel Lopes

GRC is the brand of Darius Erch Christian. Darius began pipe making as a hobby in 1999, when he bought a pipe kit from PIMO. He became a small producer after some teaching from colleagues, such as Trever Talbert and J.M. Boswell.

He works alone and makes classic ahpes in the Danish style with vulcanite, cumberland, and acrylic stems. For him, his model are pipes by artisan Per Hansen (see S. Bang), a pipe "has to be simple and technically well made".

Grading is descendeing: froam A to G, with the last two letters corresponding to seconds. Stamp: GRC + year + G. Cristian (manuscript, and without the "h") + grade (in a circle) + size (from 1 to 6).

The pipemaker's full name is Darius Eruch Dah. The business is dedicated to his wife Grace Rachel Christian. Hence the trade name GRC Pipes.

Editors note: I believe Darius has now retired from making pipes. --sethile (talk) 14:53, 17 June 2015 (CDT)
