I am Bogdan, born in 1968, a passionate pipe maker living in Romania. I started making pipes in 2008 when I bought a pre drilled briar block from pipe-shop.net. Since then, pipe making is one of my hobby.
I use briar from Italy, Greece and Spain. For drilling and other operations I use a modified lathe from Sherline.
My stems are hand shaped from acrylic or ebonite rods from Marco Janzen or SEM ebonite. Also I use materials like exotic woods, silver, copper for shank or stem interts.
As finish I use sandpaper, stains, carnauba, shellac, and so on.
Since pipe making is only a passion for me I can turn out around 1-4 pipes per month.
