Johnsson Ooi
Johnsson Ooi is a 48 year old Malaysian. He started pipe making as a hobby business in 2004. In 2007 he returned from Tyrol, Italy, and turned pipe making into his full time avocation. Johnsson trained both classical and freehand pipe making with Bertram Safferling.
Johnsson is taking custom orders. He works full time in his workshop in Penang Island, Malaysia.
And he has recieved the following awards:
- Won Malaysian Good Design Award in both 2013 and 2015
- 2012 and 2013 Malaysian Best Craft
