Jura is a department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France. This is where Saint-Claude the french capital of pipe manufacturing is located.

This name has graced many pipes by many makers, including Alpha, who made a Jura line for The Tinder Box, and Chacom, who still makes a Jura line of pipes.
