Kemperling is the brand and name of an Austrian factory. The company was founded in 1834 in Vienna by the well known turner, Anton Kemperling. Since 1944 it has been in Mattsee. It is run by Dieter Kemperling, the fourth generation of the family in the business.
He prduces briar pipes, Tyrolian pipes (briar and prcelain) and other wooden items, such as statuettes and religious figures. He makes 10 thousand pipes a year for the internal market and export (Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, and the U.S.0
