From Pipes, Artisans and Trademarks, by José Manuel Lopes

Lèonard is the Belgium brand from the ceramic and terracotta pipe factory Piperie Lèonard, run by Pascal Lèonard, in Andenne. The pipe making tradition in the town goes back to around the 1750s.

The Lèonard family has long been connected to pipe making, and Pascal is perhaps the last Belgian artisan making pipes in terr cuite and terre à pipe, for which rough or medium-cut tobacco is advised.
