After going through several educations and occupations and spending several years as a travelling craftsman, Stefan Capaul settled down in Disla, a hamlet belonging to the community of Disentis the uplands of Grisons.
In search of a compensatory occupation to his steady job he wanted to work something with his hands; beautiful, not everyday like and yet useful. So he finally got the idea to make pipes starting around 1999 / 2000 with a rudimental equipment of hand tools.
What was originally ment rather as a waste of time in periods of nasty weather and the long Swiss winters soon turned into a real passion.
