Ivan Melich, though a man in his riper age and reported to make pipes for quite a few years, was completely unknown till March, 29th 2008. This very day he debuted at the 3. Lohmar Pipe Show and the reports about his pipes are enthusiastic! Someone called him "the Ingo Garbe from Weiterstadt", referring to the famous German pipemaker (long since living in Denmark) and the community near Darmstadt where Melich lives.
