Nicolas is the brand and name of a French clay pipe factory. Its creator was Jean Nicolas, who founded the factory in Lyon in the 19th century, and the firm continues to be in the family. Since 1976 it has been run by Jean-Marie Nicolas ('Meilleur Ouvier de France 1991'), who also makes briar pipes.
