From Pipes, Artisans and Trademarks, by José Manuel Lopes

Sadik Yanik is a premier Turkish carver of quality meerschaum blocks. He began at 13, in 1978, with his father, Huseyn, who didn't sign the pipes he made and worked for Mergenler. Sadik's pipes evode those of the 19th century Vienna school (scenes with animals, battles, divinities, etc.).

This pipe has a colored beeswax coating. Brought back by a friend of Herb's who often travels to Turkey. While Sadik carves pipes to order based on a customer's design or photograph on a regular basis, this one appears to be one of Sadik's own designs.
