Hi Frank,
Thank you for pointing my error out to me. I have corrected my article. In my defense I have heard him being called Van Donck. However, on Googling it, I found no reference to Van Donck and only to Van Hunks as you correctly pointed out.

Incidentally, are you aware that there is a Pipemakers Forum? It has numerous members worldwide including many professionals as well as a couple of SA pipemakers as members. I was born and raised in Cape Town, so I'm well familiar with the myth/legend of "Van Hunks and the Devil". You might want to make a correction to your story - the man's name was Van Hunks not Van Donck. BTW, nice pipes.
