Whidbey Islander Pipes are high-praised, but very rarely seen freehand pipes.

They were made by Travor LaRue and his son-in-law Chuck Whitmore in Langley on Whidbey Island (Washington State) and also sold there in The Old Virginia Pipe Shop, which does not exist anymore.

Trav LaRue deceased in 1983 and Chuck Whitmore went off to Seattle to work in the film industry.
