Pipes are my passion, about fifteen years ago, when I began to collect smoking pipes, I would have never thought that one day I would build my own pipes, but in 2007, the curiosity brought me to make the first one. Each pipe is unique in shape, dimensions and color, crafted by hand from the aged bare briar block, coming from Calabria or Tuscany, that I personally select in the place. All of my stems are made in volcanite starting from the raw rod coming from Germany.I tend to realize smooth and polished pieces, but anyway, during the work, some minor impefection may arise on the wood surface: in that case I will try to blast/rusticate or reserve them for my fireplace.


Now I build about ten pipes per month. Two words about grading system, since 2011/05:
Directly taken from golf, I have reduced the grading schema to three levels which is now more comprehensive:
<div>Teeing Ground, [Rusticated, Blasted, Smooth] the entry level pipe, with regular grain</div>
<div>Fairway [Blasted, Smooth], intermediate level pipe with a good grain</div>
<div>Putting Green [Blasted, Smooth], high grade pipe with straight grain</div>
<div>Hole in one [Blasted, Smooth], Special pipes</div>
<div>A number, starting from 2007, indicates the year of production, so 2011 = 4</div>
