Wally Frank was one of America's oldest and most respected names in pipes and tobaccos from at least the 1930’s. Although Wally Frank has been gone for many years, he was a leader in the importing of European pipes. But, in addition to importing pipes, he had many pipes made in his own name and also employed pipemakers like Peter Stokkebye and S. Bang! For example, Ed Burak, owner of [[Connoisseur]] in New York City, got his start by making pipes for Wally Frank! So Wally Frank pipes must be individually evaluated each on their own merit.
