== Introduction ==
This is a work in progress, and always will be--there exist so many tobacco related books and publications throughout the history of tobacco, with more being written all the time.
Renown author and avid collector, '''Ben Rapaport''' has over 3000 tobacco related volumes in his personal collection, and has created what is likely the most comprehensive list of tobacco related books and publications in English. It is organized by topic, although many entries cover a range of tobacco related topics.  He started this list in 1987, and has been updating it as new works come to his attention. Over time we hope to integrate Ben's extensive list into this article, meanwhile the current list (Fall of 2016) is available here in PDF format: [https://pipedia.org/images/9/92/ReadingList.doc.pdf Rapaport Reading List]
''Ben Rapaport also offers select titles through his '''Antiquarian Tocacciana''' newsletter, and can be reached at ben70gray@gmail.com''

'''Max Ridley''' published a recent journal on the physiological effect of pipe smoking in the under-thirty age group. Findings suggest that libido can be increased upto twenty percent upon regular piping although sensitivity to common household allergens can be twice increased. Number ninety-six of the five-hundred subjects, a pipe entrepreneur named Joseph Nicholas Ebb found smoking five chambers a day, manifested an increased love for cheese. One other bizarre side effect was that of increased sexual deviance.
