SeaSmoke Pipes

Eric Weaver is the sole owner and producer of SeaSmoke Pipes in Washburn Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Superior. Eric has been making pipes since late 2003 after receiving a pipe kit as a gift from his wonderful girlfriend (now Wife). He has kept himself under the radar for many years selling pipes locally and thru word of mouth. Around 2016 he began offering his work to the larger pipe community. Early work was left unstamped or marked simply with his initials E.M.W. Around 2018 Weaver began selling his pipes under the brand name SeaSmoke Pipes. His current pipes are stamped E.M.W. alongside an outline of Lake Superior. He was interviewed on episode 414 on The Pipes Magazine Radio Show. He has also appeared on numerous Youtube interviews and maintains a youtube channel himself. Weaver enjoys being lost in the woodwork of Northern Wisconsin and is a bit of a hermit. He produces 40-65 pipes a year with most being freehands and his interpretations of the classics. Eric uses briar from Italy, Algeria, and Greece. His stems are hand cut from high grade German ebonite or modified preformed vulcanite depending on the piece. He is self taught for the most part. Weaver is also a studio Potter producing many Cups, Mugs, and bowls every year. He strives to make pipes and pottery that will look at home in his Natural surroundings of Northern Wisconsin.
