Abbey Pipes, homed in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire OL6 6SG, was one of the few small but fine English pipe brands with a long family tradition that managed to survive all the breakdowns, the furious mergers and fusions and the hasty take-overs of the 1970's and early 1980's that extinguished practically everything what was esteemed as "the great English pipe" before.

Abbey Pipes continued to make mainly classic pipe shapes and - in smaller quantity - very nice freehands with impeccable craftsmanship till the firm found a sudden end in 2005 or 2006.

We'd surely appreciate more detailed informations on Abbey Pipes!
