Cellini

Cellini, or better, the Cellini Pipe Shop was owned by Art Silber, who is said to have made pipes himself once upon a time. (Ideally for those who liked short ways, Cellini was next door to Zimmerman's Liquor Store in the heart of Chicago.)

Silber had his own brand Cellini manufactured by a small factory named Victory Pipe Craftsmen (likewise Chicago). The most important pipemaker there was Primo Polidori.

The mainstay of Victory Pipe Craftsmen were kind of imitations of pipes like Tracy Mincer’s widely known peculiar carvings. But as well they made unbelievably beautiful freehands in superior quality – many of them bearing the Cellini stamping.
