Perrin
-Working In London in the pipe industry, Roger Perrin settled in Saint-Claude in the 1920s. It first produces metal accessories for pipes, pens and pencils, then the latter two products only, including mechanical parts pens subcontracted to Bic. Around 1949, he left his studio 8 rue Carnot (converted into apartments in the 1960s) for the building adjacent to the south, at 10 and 12 rue Carnot. It was built in the 1920s (around 1924 or 1927) by Eugene Vidaillet, builder and mechanic pipe maker in the plant of 22 and 24 Street Steps to serve as a workshop and garage. It was leased to Coquerel and Fox.
-Perrin Elevates the building and installed its machines. Gradually closed his company ceased operations around 1975 and will be liquidated in 1987. By 1961 or so, the premises were taken over by his son Henri Favre. Abandoning the pipe in 1951, he had worked as a diamond worker at Felix Jeantet (2 rue Carnot) and established himself on his own around 1954.

Il y fabrique tout d'abord des accessoires métalliques pour pipes, stylos et porte-mine, puis ensuite pour ces deux derniers produits seulement, notamment les parties mécaniques des stylos à bille en sous-traitance pour la société Bic.
Vers 1949, il laisse son atelier du 8 rue Carnot (transformé en appartements dans les années 1960) pour le bâtiment qui le jouxte au sud, aux 10 et 12 rue Carnot. Celui-ci fut édifié dans les années 1920 (vers 1924 ou 1927) par Eugène Vidaillet, constructeur-mécanicien puis fabricant de pipes dans l'usine des 22 et 24 rue des Etapes, pour servir d'atelier et de garage.
Il était loué à Coquerel et Renard.
-Perrin surélève le bâtiment et y installe ses machines. Progressivement fermée, sa société cesse ses activités vers 1975 et sera liquidée en 1987. Dès 1961 environ, les locaux avaient été repris par son gendre Henri Favre. Délaissant la pipe en 1951, ce dernier avait travaillé comme ouvrier diamantaire chez Félix Jeantet (2 rue Carnot) puis s'était établi à son compte vers 1954.
