[FSantiago] I am a pipe collector and pipe historian, drawing to the extent possible from reliable factual primary sources to help document the proud history and lore of tobacciana for posterity and the enjoyment of other collectors. I am a collector of predominantly Leeds-era Ben Wade pipes, and other British and French pipes of manufacture ranging from the late Victorian era until approximately the end of World War II. The shelf behind me in the photo below has approximately 200 Leeds-era Ben Wade pipes, including various rarities and seconds brands, pipe catalogues and price lists, cigar and cigarette holders and match vesta cases, boxes, pipe sleeves and pamphlets. I've also collected any print matter relating to Ben Wade including a company history and advertising and conducted interviews with the living descendants of Ben Wade and children of the final proprietors of the company before its sale to Hermann Lane.
