Wagner Pipes

The idea was born in 2001... In February 2002 Michael Wagner got more serious about it when he was able to purchase a chuck lathe to start off makimg pipes. Ever since that Wagner strived to improve the skills of his hobbyistic occupation and more and more pipe friends enjoy smoking a "Wagner".

He predominantly uses Spanish briar for his pipes. Shank extensions and ornamenting rings on the stems are often made from Tagua nuts, deriving from a species of palms from Ecuador featuring characteristics similar to ivory. Wagner sometimes uses unusual colored stains in blue, green or orange tones. Wagner Pipes are entirely produced for use without filters.

Grading system (as of 14-03-2004): ascending W, WW, WWW and Silver Spot. In use since pipe #40.

He also creates a line Di Lenardo by Wagner, exclusively available at Di Lenardo & Co., Augustinergasse 14, CH-8001 Zurich.
