The Wesley family began their involvement with pipe and tobacco sales in the 1920's, working with John Tennison Burrows at the Newsagent & Tobacconist he founded in 1905 in Durban, South Africa. The family continued their involvement for decades, and in 1971 Colin Wesley opened the first Wesley's Tobacconist in Johannesburg. Six years later he opened another store, a smaller mall shop, which became the prototype for franchising the stores, now in seven locations.
Wesley's has had a long association with Stanwell and is also a seller of many other brands, but does not produce a house pipe at this time.
