Chris Asteriou is an Athenian Architect and designer who began making pipes in 2007. His work is notable for adhering to traditional English shaping sensibilities, although with his own unique sense of proportion.
In addition to early 20th century English inspired design Chris also makes some contemporary forms. Organic shapes, bamboo shank extensions and accents from corian material characterize the other side of his pipe making style.
He uses properly dry plateaux Greek briar and all the mouthpieces are hand cut from German ebonite. The tenons are turned from the same stock and are reinforced with stainless steel tube for additional strength.
