CHP-X pipes was one of the first freehand pipe-making operations in the United States, started by Jay Rostov, former owner of Jay's Smoke Shop, and Chuck Holiday in the early 1970s. Rostov hired on a relative, Michael Kabik, soon after the founding and Holiday left the business. For more information see Kabik.
