Paul Conrad reports that he had one identical to the pipe pictured above, also with shape #9488, but with a Savinelli Shield to the left of the Shape number, and that the Don Roberto Logo was very lightly stamped. This would seem to indicate that the Don Roberto pipes were sourced from at least two different makers.

Don Roberto pipes show up on the Estate market, but there is very little information about this Italian pipe brand. Two models represented are LANCELOT, which are smooth, and FUMED, which are rusticated.

Keith Carr obtained a Don Roberto Lancelot with shape number 9488, which corresponds with GBD's shape #9488 (a square shanked pot). This would indicate Don Roberto is a GBD second or sub-brand made in Italy.
