The passion for pipes is a family tradition, since 1937, when my grandfather Mario Lanzola opened the tobacco shop in Parma, followed by my father Norberto and last me (Gian Luca); but the real passion for pipes was born when I first walked into the Castello factory, I was about 10 years old and followed my father to pipe purchases. I fell in love with those pieces of rough wood, which, under the expert hands of the artisans, became pipes; I tried it too and at the age of 11 I made my first "almost" pipe. Today, after taking my degree in Geology, I make pipes while having fun. | |||
