Martin Pipe Company pipes were made by Hal M. Silverstein of Albany, New York, who sadly became a broken pipe on November 7, 2003 at 59 years of age. Mr. Silverstein was born in Syracuse and graduated from Syracuse University before serving in the Vietnam War as a Navy photojournalist embedded with the Navy Seals. Mr. Silverstein's pipes were stamped "Martin" and are rarely seen on the estate market.
