 Pictured left-- 2006 Christmas pipe, smooth bulldog: From Algerian briar; Bowl Height: 2.05"; Bowl diameter at rim: 1.74; Overall Length: 6.25 "; Chamber Diameter: 3/4"; Chamber Depth: 1.53"; Hand cut German Ebonite Stem; Delrin Tenon. I find Bulldogs to be an extremely challenging shape. The lines and angles demand symmetry, and show every deviation from it. They have proven to be an excellent study. I hope this is the first of traditional S.E.THILE Christmas pipes. This one and only for 2006 was a gift for my son, John, who loves Bulldogs, and loves Christmas. He reports it's an excellent smoker.
-Pictured right-- Another Bulldog, Opus 2 #37, Grade C smooth:  Height: 1.9"; Diameter: 1.9"; Overall Length: 5.9"; Chamber Diameter: 3/4"; Chamber Depth: 1.63". Made from Italian Plateaux briar with a hand cut German Ebonite Stem, and integral tenon. The nicest bulldog I've made yet. I'm very pleased with the lines. The touch of Danish influence I've been striving for. An innovative chamber angle makes for a good size chamber while still achieving the shape I was after. Very nice birdseye on the bottom, on the top of one side of the stem, and top of the bowl. Straight and flame flowing up the sides, front and back. Three un-distracting flaws keep this a grade C, but it's really beautiful pipe.

 Pictured right--  Etude #20, an Early Bulldog: From Algerian Plateaux Briar, Bowl Height: 1.9", Bowl diameter: 1.72", Overall Length: 6", Chamber Diameter: 3/4", Chamber Depth: 1.47", Hand cut German Ebonite Stem with a Delrin tenon and Ivory Insert. This is one of the nicest blast I've managed so far.
