It seems likely that Skikda pipes are connected to the [[Amiel]] brand founded (1923) by Raoul Amiel in Philippeville (Skikda, Algeria). The factory employed about 30 persons in the early 1960s when it closed down. It is the only known pipe producer to have been headquartered in Skikda.
