Welcome to Windjammer Pipes. Carving began as a simple hobby for me, but evolved into a passion. I am constantly trying to improve my skills, and I am my own biggest critic. I do not think that I possess any talent greater than a passion to create something useful and beautiful. I try not to compare my work to others, and simply create what I see in my mind. I am a fan of the classics, and most of my work shows that. Basic, beautiful shapes with clean lines and traditional form. Of course every now and then a bit of twist is added just to keep things interesting.

My pipes are all handmade, with only the use of sanding discs and basic hand tools. I do not own a lathe and all my drilling is done with a hand drill and a great deal of care and patience. The name Windjammer Pipes was inspired by my love for sailing. Various lines and future grading will all be done with a nautical/sailing theme in mind. It seems only natural to me to combine two of my passions together and have the opportunity to receive enjoyment from both at the same time. I hope that you enjoy the site, and maybe even find something you like. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Windjammer Pipes began as a hobby and evolved into a passion. What started as a desire to create a handcrafted one of a kind pipe at a reasonable price
for myself, turned into the desire to provide the same for others. I don’t believe that I possess any talent greater than my passion to create something beautiful
that can be appreciated for years to come. I have a love for the classics… simple, beautiful and traditional, and I try to represent that in most of my work.

All of my pipes are hand cut and hand shaped without the use of a lathe. They are hand drilled fitted with vulcanite or Lucite stems and finished with natural
stains and pure carnauba wax. I believe that a pipe should be a natural fluid piece of art, so there are never any fills and rustication is used when it will enhance
the beauty of the pipe.

I hope that you enjoy the site, and maybe even find something that you like. I would love to create a pipe that will become a favorite and hopefully a treasure.
