Jirí Maczko, "Biftek"

My name is Jirí Maczko, more known under my nickname Biftek.

I was born in 1991. My grandmother raised me with a passion for art since my childhood. I attended art school and had many art lessons, although my father wanted me to be a carpenter.

Once I finished school I became a carpenter for seven years, building wooden houses. I wanted to do something which would be my own work, depending solely on me.

Through my passion for pipe tobacco, I came to pipes. After I finished making my first pipe, still just as a hobby but I knew one day I would make pipes for a living.

In 2017 pipe making became my full time passion. I taught myself to make pipes with my goal being to make pipes “ a bit differently.”
