Klaus Hahn is a German artisan from the Duisburg. He has made pipes as a hobby since the 1980s, with a small production in which "the shape follows the grain". He uses ebonite stems and accessories such as synthetic amber, horn, and exotic wood.

In 1988 I turned my hobby into a passion, and started to manufacture handmade pipes in my workshop. The mouthpieces are hand cut from Ebonite.

The high interest in my pipes encourage me to offer them to dealers in Germany and Switzerland. You may see them in shops in Aachen and Basel.

In preparing my pipes I reject the use of putty fills, but have no problem with small spots, since these do not spoil the pleasure of smoking in any way. I place great value on the inherent grain in the briar, and work to obtain a beautiful surface to accentuate the Straight or Birdseye grain of each piece. This leads to pipes of medium and larger sizes. They have smoking advantages that many of my fans appreciate.
