Jason Patrick
Jason is located in Elgin Illinois. Pipemaking became a hobby for him in early 2019 from a desire to do something hands-on. It has clearly become much more than a hobby at this point!
From his earliest memories, Jason's grandfather smoked a pipe. The mystique and allure that a pipe introduced, drew him in and captured him. He started smoking a pipe in his early 20's. In February of 2019, Jason and his wife Betsy, long time pastors, planted a church in the Chicago suburbs. A mentor told him, "If you work with your mind, you need to rest with your hands". Already being a pipe smoker and a curious person by nature, Jason dove in and made his first pipe in Feb. '19. Having dabbled in both engineering and art, he began to examine every pipe he saw more closely, attempting to figure out what would make a well crafted pipe.
He focused on the classic shapes at the beginning, branching out into some freehand Danish shapes as he developed. AS of August of '22, Jason has created 250 fully handmade pipes in his home located in the Chicago suburbs.
