That's how they transfered one part of the French tradition of pipes production to Bohemia. Jan Klouček follow the local tradition of pipes production in Kostelec nad Černými lesy where he have installed my workshop. In the 19th century the local manufacturers produced there fictile and ceramic bowls. Producing pipes he consider that to manage perfectly the craft is the most important base for free creation. To get this craft firmness, he have produced during the existence of his company, more than one hundred thousand of pipes, in the mass the standard ones. Latter he started to designate exclusive pipes. He can divide his manufacturing programme into two basic parts: standard pipes and exclusive model lines. The standard line he make in a few firm, classic and conservative forms of design, all of them in different superficial and coloured design. The standard line is particulary destined for the Czech market. The top point of his production are exclusive pipes, of course. They are highly creative and forming their original design he let inspire with architecture, technical or natural motives. Forming designs of these pipes, very important role plays grain of wood and the best quality of briar, which he choose with the extreme carefulness for these pipes. The exclusive pipes give pleasure even to the exigent pipe-smokers. They are absolutely handmade in limited series and generally completed by the accessories of solid silver for to distinguish its originality.
