Fortnum & Mason, the famed London department store in operation since 1707, has among countless other products sold its own line of pipes. One of the most notable was Fortnum's Windward, a "hurricane" type pipe with a built in swiveling windcap. The pipe was made following the design of ''Frederick Hudes'', who received a patent<ref>https://patents.google.com/patent/US2135179</ref> for the pipe in the U.S. numbered 2135179 in 1938. | |||
