Kharitonov typically makes his stummels from Calabrian briar and his stems from SEM ebonite. To accent his pipes, he sometimes uses inserts made of silver, cupronickel, or exotic woods, but his favorite adornment is fossilized mammoth tusk, which he uses frequently.
