I HAVE AN ISRAELI PIPE THAT IS UNSMOKED AND HAS A LEATHER TAG ATTCHED WITH THE WORDS "HEART OF THE ROOT & PORE PROCESSED BRIAR". IT ALSO IS MARKED ON THE SHANK ISRAEL WITH WHAT I THINK IS HEBREW LETTERS THAT RESEMBLE "lltra" ONLY IN THE HEBREW LETTERS. WAS THIS MADE BY THE SHALOM FACTORY? OR IS IT AN ALPHA PIPE? THANKS, RAY

An unknown (as yet) Israeli pipe

Acquired a bamboo shank pipe that is stamped Israel(in English) on the bottom of the wooden shank. The name on the side of the wooden shank is stamped in block letters BAMBU. Have, as yet, found no information who Shalom (or current company owner) made this pipe for. The bamboo section is one knuckle with no modification or engraving. The stem is vulcanite and the pipe has neither filter nor condenser (stinger). Would dearly appreciate any information anyone would send to Pipedia.
