This fascination with story led me to explore pipe making for the first time in 2010 when I purchased my first blocks of briar. Having admired beautiful artisanal pipes for several years, I had become anxious to explore the inner mysteries of briar. Hour upon hour was spent examining that first block and slowly removing material. It was intoxicating. After 84 hours over 2 years, I finished my first pipe and found myself absolutely hooked. | |||
Every block of briar has a unique story to tell. I work to coax truth, simplicity, and clarity out of every block, attempting to communicate the story within. Only the best materials available are chosen for this purpose and perfection in engineering is compulsory with every piece. | |||
