Tony Rodriguez is a Los Angeles, CA based carver, who was known for very high end pipes and master craftsmanship.The prominent pipe collector and the Author of In Search of Pipe Dreams book Rick Newcombe refers to Tony Rodriguez as one of his all time favorite carvers. According to Newcombe, Tony Rodriguez studied under Lars Ivarsson and Jess Chonowitsch. He bought his briar from Chonowitsch and the legendary late Bo Nordh. After producing highly desired and collectible pipes for over a decade, Tony Rodriguez disappeared from the pipe scenes in the mid 2000s and was never heard from since then, making his name one of the most mystical pipe carvers and brands in the pipe collecting world. His pipes remain highly collectible and are extremely rare to be found in the estate market, commanding high prices.
