I have been unable to find much information on "Golden Horn" on the internet, except that meerschaum pipes are being sold as Golden Horn. I own a meerschaum with a case that has a gold foil lable "Exclusively by Golden Horn Genuine Bekler" over a stylized "G" with "Imperial Heros" below. [[File:Golden Horn.jpg]]

I have read a comment on a blog that Golden Horn was simply a broker and not a manufacterer ''per se''.  The Golden Horn is an inlet on the Bosphorus which forms a peninsula where old Istanbul is located.  This might indicate that Golden Horn is was a Turkish company selling Turkish meerschaum pipes from various carvers.  There are other indications that they were doing business in the 1960" and 1970's.

The exquisitely carved meerschaum pipe, which I own, is signed by the carver "Ismet Bekler".  Bekler also carved pipes for CAO.  I have seen pipes on the internet that claim to be Golden horn, but are not signed by Bekler. If anyone has additional information about Golden Horn or carvers who sold to Golden Horn, I would appreciate their input to this article.  Don ----
