A cette époque (1950) une once de tabac à pipe ou un pain de 4 livres coûtaient à peu près un shilling à Londres. En 1982 un vendeur proposait des Loewé (London) pour 19,5 livres. Un lot de Loewé à montage spigot 9xx fabriquées au début des années 1980 et vendu vers la fin du siècle coûtait en Allemagne aux alentours de 200 Euros chaque. Début 2003 un site web anglais proposait des Loewe-Kaywoodie dans une fourchette de  18,50 à 65 £ (environ 25 à 95 euros/$). C’étaient des pipes Cadogan bien sûr. Dans le même temps, certaines pièces « anciennes » atteignaient les 175 Euros ou US$.
